EX Option and How to Play as Akuma, Apocalypse, and SF Alpha Chun-Li

EX Option: At the title screen, highlight Battle Mode and quickly press Tri, Tri, Right, Cir, L1. If you entered the code correctly, an EX Option screen appears which allows you to play the game's arcade tag-team mode. To enable this mode, however, you must play a game in the Versus Mode and both players must choose the same team of characters but in reverse order (for example, if Player One picks Ken and Akuma, Player Two must pick Akuma and Ken). To charge characters during a fight, perform a Team Super or Team Counter move.

Play as Akuma: At the fighter-select screen, highlight Magneto, Juggernaut, Dhalsim, or M. Bison and press Up once.

Play as Apocalypse: Finish the game on level 5 or higher without continuing. Save the game data to a memory card. Start a new game using the saved data, and at the fighter-select screen, highlight Akuma, press and hold Select for five seconds, and press X.
Note: You can only play as Apocalypse in the Versus Mode.

Play as SF Alpha Chun-Li: At the fighter-select screen, highlight Chun-Li, press and hold Select, and press any Punch or Kick button. You can now play as Chun-Li with her outfit and special moves from Street Fighter Alpha.

Play as Akuma: At the fighter-select screen, keep pressing Up until Akuma appears.

Chun-Li's Other Outfit: At the fighter-select screen, put the cursor on Chun-Li. Press and hold Select, then press any Punch or Kick button to play as Chun-Li in her other outfit.
